How to Fix USB Device Not Recognized in Windows

If your USB device is not recognized by Windows when you plug it in your PC then here is a quick and easy fix. This will also clean your USB traces from Windows Registry.  Every time you plug in or unplug a USB device from your PC it is recorded in you Windows Registry with the date and time, these traces / logs are used by forensic detectives. All these logs accumulate over time and slows down the Windows USB device detection and sometimes it cannot detect at all your USB device. Here is how to fix this problem.

In order to repair the USB device detection in Windows follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the FREE version of WinSysClean here https://www.usro.net/downloads
  2. Start WinSysClean and Select Repair->Fix USB then unplug the USB devices from your PC (except the mouse and keyboard) then click the Fix & Clean USB button.
