How to Fix / Repair Windows 11 Boot Manager

To fix the Windows 11 boot manager, you can try the following steps:

  1. Run the Startup Repair tool: This tool can automatically fix certain boot problems. To access it, go to the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and select Startup Repair.
  2. Run the Bootrec.exe tool: This tool can help fix boot issues, including the boot manager. To access it, go to the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and open the Command Prompt. Then, run the following commands:
    • bootrec /fixmbr
    • bootrec /fixboot
    • bootrec /scanos
    • bootrec /rebuildbcd
  3. Check for and fix disk errors: Boot problems can also be caused by disk errors. To check for and fix disk errors, go to the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and open the Command Prompt. Then, run the following command: chkdsk /f /r
  4. If still not resolved you can perform a system restore or if you have a backup image of your system that you can use to restore your system to a previous state that was working fine.

It is worth noting that if none of these steps work, you may need to consider reinstalling Windows 11.
